Book the compulsory timed ticket
Cueva de los Verdes does not operate as a walk-in attraction. Buy the official ticket online, select a date and time, and arrive 15 minutes before the slot. Keep the QR code available offline. The visit is guided in Spanish and English and follows a fixed underground route.
Cueva de los Verdes prices in 2026
The guided visit has been around €14 for adults and about half that for children in recent seasons, and the online booking is compulsory. There are no walk-in tickets, so plan the slot before building your day around the cave. Combinations with other CACT sites are not always possible on the day; book each timed visit separately.
What to wear: the cave climate
Inside the lava tube the temperature stays pleasantly cool and more or less constant all year, typically in the high teens Celsius. That makes the cave a comfortable escape from the summer heat, but also means you will want a lightweight layer even on a hot day. Non-slip footwear genuinely matters on the uneven sections, and there are no storage lockers.
What the cave visit is like
The route travels through several levels of the La Corona lava tube, using lighting designed to reveal the rock's forms and colours. It includes stairs, uneven surfaces, narrow sections and low ceilings. Visitors over 1.80 metres should pay particular attention to overhead rock.
Who should reconsider the visit?
CACT states that the route is not accessible to people with reduced mobility and is not recommended for people with claustrophobia. Pushchairs cannot enter and there is no storage for them. Wear non-slip footwear and follow the guide closely in darker or narrower sections.
Cueva de los Verdes vs Jameos del Agua
Both attractions interpret the La Corona lava tube, but they are different visits. Cueva is a guided geological route with compulsory timed entry; Jameos combines volcanic space, architecture and an endemic lake and has more flexible general admission. Visiting both gives the clearest contrast.

No. Official guidance says tickets are sold online for a specific date and time.

Can babies enter Cueva de los Verdes?
Babies can enter, but pushchairs are not allowed and there is no storage. CACT recommends using a baby carrier or carrying the child.
