Book the compulsory timed ticket
Cueva de los Verdes does not operate as a walk-in attraction. Buy the official ticket online, select a date and time, and arrive 15 minutes before the slot. Keep the QR code available offline. The visit is guided in Spanish and English and follows a fixed underground route.
What the cave visit is like
The route travels through several levels of the La Corona lava tube, using lighting designed to reveal the rock's forms and colours. It includes stairs, uneven surfaces, narrow sections and low ceilings. Visitors over 1.80 metres should pay particular attention to overhead rock.
Who should reconsider the visit?
CACT states that the route is not accessible to people with reduced mobility and is not recommended for people with claustrophobia. Pushchairs cannot enter and there is no storage for them. Wear non-slip footwear and follow the guide closely in darker or narrower sections.
Cueva de los Verdes vs Jameos del Agua
Both attractions interpret the La Corona lava tube, but they are different visits. Cueva is a guided geological route with compulsory timed entry; Jameos combines volcanic space, architecture and an endemic lake and has more flexible general admission. Visiting both gives the clearest contrast.
