Choose the right Jameos del Agua ticket

General admission covers the Jameo Chico, the lake with its endemic blind crabs, Jameo Grande and the auditorium. Casa de los Volcanes requires the combined option, while the scheduled Insólita experience adds a guide and access to normally reserved spaces. Compare inclusions before checkout rather than assuming every ticket covers the museum.

Do you need a time slot?

The standard general visit currently does not require a reserved date or time. You can show the online QR code on arrival, but advance purchase reduces uncertainty. The premium Insólita experience runs on scheduled days and times, so treat it as a separate book-ahead activity.

Accessibility, families and what to bring

Expect volcanic paving, stairs and changes of level. Pushchairs are not permitted on the route, so families with babies should use a carrier. Wear shoes with grip, bring sun protection for outdoor areas and keep the QR code downloaded. Toilets are outside the cave section.

Combine Jameos with the north

Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes occupy different parts of the same La Corona lava-tube system and combine naturally in one day. Add Mirador del Río or Haría if time allows, but reserve the Cueva de los Verdes slot first because that visit has fixed entry times.

Frequently asked questions

Does Jameos del Agua include Casa de los Volcanes?

Only if you select the combined ticket. Standard Jameos admission does not automatically include the museum.

Can you swim in the Jameos pool?

No. Bathing in the lake or pool is prohibited, and visitors must not touch the volcanic formations or disturb the lake.

Is Jameos del Agua wheelchair accessible?

The full route is not accessible because of the lava tube, stone paving and level changes. Check current arrangements directly with CACT before booking.
