South: Costa Adeje & Los Cristianos
The south is where most visitors stay — reliable sunshine, resort hotels and the best beaches. Costa Adeje is upmarket with designer hotels and fine dining. Los Cristianos is more traditional and family-friendly. Both have easy access to whale watching and Teide tours.
North: Puerto de la Cruz & La Orotava

Getting around from your base
A rental car opens up the whole island no matter where you stay. Match the booking to the airport on your ticket: Tenerife South (TFS) suits most southern-resort arrivals, while Tenerife North (TFN) is closer to La Laguna and many northern stays.
